Russian Flash Awards - 2009

03.11.2009 Eugenia Startseva

The ceremony of Russian Flash Awards was held on October, 24, during Russian Internet Week.

Apart from the awards “Technical achievement” and “Game” known to us, we were taken by surprise when got the “Grand Prix” for “the best project presented at the contest during its lifetime”.

Last year the award looked like a neutralized grenade framed in a brick, thus the guys had some problems in the airport. This year customs examination was followed by the words “you have the bag filled with some odd stuff”.

At right pic you can see SUN, she’s one of the best project beta-testers. Cafe boss James is standing there too.

That evening may be called informal. Open party at June 6th may be called pure trash mess badaboom:

Adobe MAX Europe 2008 official report (part 3)

11.12.2008 Alexander Karpovich

We almost missed second day of the conference, partly because we decided to take a short brake and to have a look around, partly because we agreed to change some things in our coming session. “Some changes” took whole day and night, but that didn’t prevent us from joining Customer Appreciation Event, to which people have been transported by a bunch of buses. It took place in a comfortable La Pelota place, dj was playing, and there were a lot of tasty food around, along with red wine and beer. It was really funny and cool, but we managed not to drink and to get away fast, in order to polish our tomorrow session to it’s best.

Adobe MAX Europe 2008 official report (part 2)

09.12.2008 Alexander Karpovich

So, December has come and it began from the opening ceremony. Big hall seated just a little bit less that 1500 happy attendees. We saw flashy interactive show with industry bosses talking about beautiful spaceships flying through infinite universe on different topics. We’ve been informed on Adobe’s invasion on the screens of all devices all over the world, next year plans on software development. They also showed us Flash 10 prototype working on communicators. The show was very well directed, along with some discrepancies – say, big prototype device could not connect to home computer, but that was OK, we already caught the idea and overall impression was perfect. After an hour the conference has began, and we went to sessions.
